NOTE: This Church Orphan Home and four others in the Orissa district have been torched. The children were driven off into the jungle but not seriously hurt. Some of the homes may be repaired, but the smell of smoke and the loss of every possession will make this a long process. Some of the children may have contracted malaria in the jungle, but they are doing well in an undisclosed refuge until new quarters can be established.

The children from these homes are being housed as guests in other orphan home facilities. For the time being, they will be registered in other local schools until it is deemed safe for their return.
